LAX2 is a member of the AUX/LAX family of auxin influx carriers. In Arabidopsis thaliana, the AUX/LAX family is composed of four highly conserved genes called AUX1 (AT2G38120), LAX1 (AT5G01240), LAX2 (AT2G21050), and LAX3 (AT1G77690).
