Background:

ACBP6 is a small 10-kD acyl-coenzyme A-binding protein. It binds acyl-CoA esters and protects acyl-CoAs from degradation by microsomal acyl-hydrolases. In Arabidopsis, there are six forms of ACBPs, These include ACBP1 (AT5G53470), ACBP2 (AT4G27780), ACBP3 (AT4G24230), ACBP4 (AT3G05420), ACBP5 (AT5G27630), ACBP6 (AT1G31812).
