Background:

At5PTase1 is an inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase that appears to have Type I activity. It can dephosphorylate IP3(inositol(1,4,5)P3) and IP4 (inositol(1,3,4,5)P4), but it does not act on I(1)P, I(1,4)P2, or phosphatidylinositol(4,5)P2.
