KCBP is a novel member of the kinesin superfamily of motor proteins. It is involved in the regulation of microtubule stability and trichome morphogenesis in plants. Some studies reveal the molecular mechanism of TCS1 (AT1G19835) and KCBP in trichome cell shape control.
