LHY is a myb-related putative transcription factor involved in circadian rhythm along with another myb transcription factor CCA1. It directly repressed expression of 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase enzymes, which catalyse the rate-limiting step of ABA biosynthesis.
