Background:

TATC is the Chloroplast Protein Translocation (tatC), core subunit of the chloroplast Tat translocase, and integral chloroplast thylakoid membrane protein. It is involved in delta pH-dependent protein transport required for chloroplast development, especially thylakoid membrane formation.
